The archive should welcome many ways of reading.
Accessibility is part of preservation: material cannot serve its community if the website places unnecessary barriers around it.
V1 commitments
The interface uses semantic headings and landmarks, keyboard-accessible controls, visible focus states, responsive type, high-contrast text, descriptive labels, and reduced-motion support.
Media commitments
Published audio and video should include transcripts where permission allows. Images should carry useful alternative text, and decorative graphics should remain silent to assistive technology.
Language and typography
The visual system is prepared for Yoruba diacritics. Orthography and translations will be reviewed before they are treated as approved archive content.
