Source policy

The source remains part of the story.

This policy describes the editorial structure proposed for the archive. It should be reviewed with Ifakayode before public launch.

Historical and sacred-knowledge entries are never treated as unqualified copy. Each record keeps its provenance, status, reviewer, permission, language, and access conditions close at hand.

Required record fields

Source or provenance recorded

Reviewer and approval date recorded

Publication permission confirmed

Language and translation status recorded

Public-access level assigned

Four publication states

Placeholder marks a known gap without filling it. Draft is working material not ready for public reliance. Under review has a named decision still pending. Approved has recorded review and permission.

Four access levels

Public, excerpt only, restricted, and private archive allow preservation and publication to remain separate decisions.

Corrections

Corrections should preserve an editorial trail: what changed, why, who reviewed it, and when approval was recorded.
