Future contributions

Before collecting records, the archive should explain what is collected, why it is needed, who can access it, how long it is retained, and how permission can be changed or withdrawn.

Photography and recordings

Faces, voices, names, and community scenes require clear permission. Archival value alone does not remove a person’s right to privacy or an agreed access restriction.

Private material

Records marked restricted or private archive must not be exposed through public pages, search results, previews, or metadata.
